This just came in from Matt as a possible harp fix using the iPhone 4S:
“Plug your phone in to your computer and open your iTunes account. Wait for your updates to finish and then open the tapped out app on your phone. Mine worked right away. It took a few tries for my buddy but it worked for him too.”
So this may be in addition to the iPhone 5 fix (leave the autolock off, log in, and let the harp play out for 15-20 minutes.
If you have a 4S, give it a try and let us know here if it works for you. It’s certainly worth a try.

Thank you so much kind sir! I had tried everything on this and the EA Forums and nothing worked bit whatever you did fixed it and it also seems to be running faster (was having slow quick freezing problems). Not to mention I might have miss counted but now have more donuts

It talks about a “level 1″ Springfield, so I’m not going to log in because I would hate to be responsible for anyone losing their game. If it’s any help I just got the Harp on my iPad 2 (at first I thought yeah, free donuts!), but unfortunately all the tips of leaving it alone on the screen for 20 mins didn’t work. It just keeps exiting after 20 mins back to the home screen.

I’ve been locked out of the game for over a week – I’m playing on a 3GS & the game crashes after 10 min of letting the harp play – any ideas as for what to do??

That’s great Jasna! The server screen is another way the harp fools you. If you believe it and don’t hit “try again”, you have to start all over again. Hitting it 3 or 4 times seems to get things synchronized so that you can get in.

Hi – apparently it needs much longer on a 4S – try letting it go for an hour and let me know what happens.
I will try again tomorrow, but after 20 minutes I get booted off the screen and need to try again. I will let you know tomorrow. Thanks
If you get booted to the Bart screen, try hitting “try again” three or four times – this sometimes works to synchronize your game and you may be able to get in on the next login. It’s a trick I learned from trying to kill the most difficult harps.

I have done it for at least 6 hours today at my desk, so far nothing.
I rarely get the bart screen, when I do, it freezes. I tried several time.
