The Squidport quest has a couple of points where progress seems to stall. At Squidport Part 5, there’s a glitch where the Itchy and Scratchy Store builds, but the task doesn’t clear – the solution for this is to simply store the Store in your Inventory and then replace it. But the next point of delay seems to be right after that at Squidport Part 6.
The Sea Captain is the key character for this, as he is for most of the Squidport build. But before you can get the prompt to build the Malaria Zone, you need to have enough Boardwalk – and you’ll need to make sure you have 8 pieces at least. So, unless you have enough, the next part of the quest may not begin.
There’s a full walkthrough coming soon! In the meantime, though, DON’T TAP ON THE SQUIDPORT ENTRANCE WHEN YOU VISIT A FRIEND’S TOWN! There’s a glitch with this that EA still needs to fix – and, for the moment, it doesn’t help you and it potentially hurts your friend.
